Welcome
Coach Haley, RDN, CD, CPT-NSCA
…your dietitian and trainer behind RD Approved, has worked in the fitness and wellness industry since early 2012.
Movement has always been a passion. From swimming competitively through school to teaching group fitness as a career, she loves any way she can get active! Eating well (both clean, and just delicious food) is yet another passion. There is little that gives her more joy than being able to share this with others to help them find their best selves through food freedom and a health-focused approach.
Outside of work, Haley loves to experiment in the kitchen, cooking for herself and anyone around her. While her life is mainly vegetables and smoothies, she also has a deep love for anything chocolate, coffee, and wine tasting!
Experience
NUTRITION COUNSELING:
Haley has worked in many different areas of coaching people into new nutrition habits. She focuses on finding food freedom by determining what your personal “best diet” is to match your goals, activity level, and lifestyle.
Her specialty areas include:
Exercise performance & sports nutrition
Intuitive eating
Event preparation (first full marathon, next big vacation, your wedding day)
Food allergies, elimination diets, and digestive concerns
Behavior modification
FITNESS TRAINING:
Haley has trained clients from all backgrounds, including NCAA division 1 athletes to a 70 year old recreational exerciser looking for functional fitness.
While she has the skills to work with just about anyone, she especially loves working with women. Helping them learn how to safely weight lift, debunking the thought that women “shouldn’t lift” or shouldn’t get “too big”, and helping them find the confidence to walk down the beach or down the aisle is part of the reason Haley started working in the fitness industry!
CORPORATE WELLNESS:
Haley has worked in many corporate settings, from small start ups to larger tech companies. She has successfully run several programs and workshops, including:
Wellness fair planning and coordination
Presenting at wellness fairs
Meal planning/prepping workshops
General health and nutrition workshops
Group fitness classes (yoga, HIIT, bootcamp, stretch, Pilates/core)
Personal and small group training
Fitness center planning
